An affidavit is a written statement you swear to be true, signed before a notary or authorised officer. It carries weight precisely because you are on oath, which is why the wording matters more than people assume.

Bring the requirement, not just the request

The single most useful thing you can do is tell us who is receiving the affidavit and what they asked for. A passport office, a bank, a university and a government department all want different wording for what sounds like the same statement. If they gave you a format, a circular, or even a line in an email, show it to us — we will draft to that rather than to a generic template.

Affidavits we prepare most often

  • Name change — including after marriage, and correcting a spelling across documents
  • Date of birth correction where records disagree
  • Address proof and residence declarations
  • Income declaration
  • Gap year / education affidavits for admissions
  • Lost document declarations, for a certificate, licence or policy
  • Single status
  • Relationship and joint family declarations
  • Vehicle transfer and ownership declarations

If yours is not on the list, it almost certainly still exists. Describe what you need to state and we will draft it.

The clauses are yours to change

An affidavit is not a fixed form. Clauses can be added, removed or reworded to suit your situation and what the receiving office requires. If the standard wording says something that is not true of you, we change it — that is the point of a sworn statement.

What it costs

Affidavits start from ₹500. That covers a straightforward drafted and e-stamped affidavit. Notarisation starts from ₹200. More complex or longer affidavits are quoted before we begin, never after.

What to bring

  • Aadhaar of the person swearing it — the deponent
  • Any document the affidavit refers to, such as the certificate with the wrong spelling
  • The format or requirement given by the receiving office, if there is one

Timing

Most affidavits are drafted, e-stamped and ready to sign in well under an hour. The deponent has to sign in person for notarisation. We are on RBI Layout Main Rd in JP Nagar 7th Phase — call ahead and we can have the draft waiting.
